Our 12-Point Quality Control Program Audio-To-Go is dedicated to total customer satisfaction, backed by the AUDIO-TO-GO 12-Point Total Quality Control program. Basic to this strategy is two-way communication between our clients and ourselves. Throughout the process of foreign language conversion, we welcome your comments, questions and general feedback to help us serve you better. 1- Client OrientationOur information package, including tape specifications, accompanies every estimate. Reading it carefully will help you achieve the best possible result and participate with us in the ATG 12-Point Total Quality Control program. 2 - Script AnalysisRichard Cassell, Ph.D., and a team of top editors from the target countries thoroughly analyze your script. They check it for correctness, completeness and consistency with your video. They calculate the length and difficulty of voice-over, on-camera and sound bite portions and present you with the most cost-effective options. 3 - Cultural AdaptationWhat is perfectly acceptable in one culture may be a terrible social gaffe in another. We consider it our responsibility to protect you against cultural "faux pas" and adapt your video to the style most appropriate to your audience - - be it technical, sales or general. Our translators, editors, directors and narrators are constantly exposed to current usage in their native countries and will find the precise, contemporary equivalent of your original. 4 - Spoken-Word TranslationsThere is a vast difference between "print" translation and translation for the spoken word. Our translators are skilled copywriters with expertise in your subject area and with extensive background in writing for advertising, radio, television and film. They create translations that sound as natural as the original, yet reflect the cultural style of the target countries. 5 - SpecializationEvery industry has its own "jargon" or special terminology. Most of this is general knowledge to our translators, who have a total grasp of contemporary usage, constantly renewed by visiting and working in both countries. Other terms are checked with specialists (including engineers, scientists and marketing experts) in the target countries. We also analyze previous translations from the client, if available, to ensure consistency. 6 - ProofreadingThe proofreading process is often neglected or given short shrift. At Audio-To-Go, it is the foundation of our work. After the first draft of a translation is completed and checked by an experienced native-born translator with expertise in the subject area, it is sent to an equally qualified proofreader to check for consistency and style. It is than subject to review by the Foreign-Language Director of the project, who has the actual responsibility for supervising the recording, and who ensures that the script "reads" well - - conveying the intention and excitement of the original. 7 - TimingThe designated narrator, an experienced native-born broadcaster and actor, tests the final translation by reading it along with the English original. The translation process often expands vocabulary as much as 30 % and changes the order of words, so this step alerts us to any portions of the script that must be condensed or rewritten in order to match the original. 8 - Client ReviewOur translation is sent to the client, along with any recommendations for condensation or re-editing, explanation of cultural adaptation and review guidelines. We work with you to ensure that vocabulary is consistent with the clients corporate culture and with previous translations of related material. We ensure that the script has full client approval prior to recording. If your client submits changes that our translators consider to be incorrect for any reason, we will arrange a phone conference to arrive at a mutually-agreeable solution. 9 - CastingThe Audio-To-Go Network consists of the finest native actors and broadcasters from the world of advertising, radio, television and film.
